This multi-academy trust was established in September 2016 following two years of increasingly successful collaboration between Grey Court School and The Hollyfield School. For a period of two years the two schools’ communities formed an understanding of each other’s ethos and way of working that has delivered academic successes for both schools. From this experience, governors and staff have developed a vision that is embodied in the new trust’s name. It is a name that sets a high bar for everyone involved in our schools, every day.
I live locally and have two sons; both of whom went to Darell Primary School and then Grey Court School. I have been a school governor for 13 years, ten as chair of governors at Grey Court. I am a civil servant originally working on teacher training at the Department for Education and currently involved in communications technology at the Department for Work and Pensions. I was a founding member of the Every Child, Every Day Academy Trust, and am now chair of trustees.
Like all other members of the governance team, we are fulfilling roles because we choose to and we are all unpaid. I am pleased with the diverse range of complementary skills offered by the members of the newly formed board of trustees and the local governing bodies.
The Trust’s governance will always be independent, diverse, skilled, open and transparent.
The educational landscape is changing to become a school-led system. The Trust aims to provide an environment in which collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement in local schools can continue to thrive into the future.
I hope that that this website presents a clear picture of the Trust and its plans for the future.
